Introduction
Sorry If I haven’t been writing for a long time, but in these days I’ve been involved with a lot of stuffs like guitar courses ( right now I have fourteen students in my course ) and recording sessions.
And talking about recordings just some weeks ago I recorded, with my friend and spaceship colleague, the second volume of guitar soundscapes also named “Nos Otros vol.2”
Nos Otros
Nos Otros vol.2, available on my bandcamp page for free arrives almost three years after Nos Otros vol.1, and unlike the first one this second volume has been recorded in just one take at Andrea’s place, with our guitars in two different tracks.
The first three tracks are space-ambient driven, with our guitars sounding like synths thanks to our Superego Plus pedals.

The fourth track, “Glory”, originally was a track that would have been included in the last volume of “Ambient Marsh”, the number 6, but in the end I decided to delete all the compilation as it sounded so messy, but I preserved the track as it was the only one I liked, so I played at Andrea’s place
The fifth and the sixth tracks, “Remembering the summit” and “Three years ago”, go more on traditional guitar sounds and guitar arpeggios, their titles refer to my short period in Malminkartano.
The “summit” of the fifth track is Malminkartanonhuippu, the artificial hill near my then-apartment there before I moved to Pohjois-Haaga. That summit has been the main thema of my fourth volume of Ambient Marsh.
“Three years ago” refers to my last year in Malminkartano, before moving and also refers to the period in which the first volume of Nos Otros was recorded
The closure of this Volume is the 11-minutes post-rock driven track “We made the history, you are making the future”, whose title is a clear tribute to Friday For Future and Greta Thunberg.
This track came out after listening a lot to Ours To Alibi, a seminal american post-rock band who disbanded more than ten years ago.
Echoes and beyond
Nos Otros vol.2 is not the only new of this year, in these days I am on recording sessions also with my main band, Echoes From A Great Distance.
Right now the main core of the band is made of me at the guitars and vocals and my other colleague Andrea Ferrantelli at the bass, taking responsibility for all the future sounds coming. I just want to say, about this new release coming, that it will have more atmospheric sounds like Sounds From Azusa or Supersession Continuum, and less old-school shits like Eternal Scars.
And we are not alone, with us there’s also a live drummer, Henri Flink, and on 14th of February Valentine’s Day we’ll have a gig at the Cactus Bar in Valilla, Helsinki.
And last new: probably at the end of February there’ll be a short of return of another of my projects: Sorsalampi Duo.
